LAUNCHER AREA
This is a picture of the exclusion area on the south side of the launch site. The missiles you
see here are complete, except the rocket motors and warheads are removed for safety. Site
SF-88L has 2 magazines. Each held 6 missiles and had 4 launchers. The main part of the
magazine is 49' long and 60' wide. There is also a small control room that is located
behind several blast-proof doors. This is where the launcher crew would control the launch
of the missiles, as well as control the raising and lowering of the launchers.
